Ever gotten a 2 day MC for a sore throat? Well I did! My housemate just returned from 2 hotbeds of H1N1, namely USA and Japan. With him he brought some cool puzzles from UC Berkley,chocolates, fresh sushi from Japan and a teeny tiny cold. And considerate housemate that he is, he promptly passed the cold to me. Well, just a sore throat and some sniffles really. And me, being the responsible employee  I am, decided to go to the clinic anyway. First clinic. “H1N1 ready” Shooed me away from the door itself when they heard my housemate had just returned from the US. How very well prepared indeed. Second... 

For a really long time now, I’ve wanted to own my own website. And by long…I mean really really long! I think my roommate Parichay will remember how we designed our first webpage back in the 90’s, when ICQ was all the rage and there used to be a website called www.www.com! Our website was called Velocity I think and it had a photo of an F-22 Raptor on it. That’s about it actually! Just a black background and a photo of an F22. The photo we had used was of course a lot cooler, since the jet was firing missiles and shit! And the website was black with green text (this was long before Matrix... 

This post is gonna be a tad on the long side. On Saturday afternoon, I woke up from the best dream I’ve ever had. I dreamt about having long conversations on the beach with Yoko Kanno. We talked about movies, music and in the dream, she asked me to sing for her next album. Needless to say, I woke up with a big fat smile on my face.     Had lunch at my senior’s place. His wife asked me if I liked spicy or non-spicy food, to which, pat came the reply from my senior: “Arrey bachelor hai. Sab kuchh kha jayega. (He’s a bachelor. He’ll eat everything)” Very aptly put indeed…kyunki... 

All emo posts should be followed up by a happy one. So here it is . I was getting bored at home today. God Shanty…for fuck’s sake, please try and organize something for a change! Anyhoo…I remembered that I was supposed to do an anime movie marathon a few weeks back. So I started off with Whisper of the Heart. Whisper of the Heart Its a lovely and heart-warming movie about a girl who kept issuing books from the library that had coincidentally also been issued by another guy. That’s all I wanna say about the movie . It was really lovely, with a lot of great moments. I especially loved... 

I was going through some my drafted blog posts that I never published and I came across a really emo draft from some time ago. It may be a tad too emo though. I didn’t post it at that time because it was perhaps a bit too revealing. Now I don’t really care. Monday. A weird day. Today more so than others. After work, after my Poly class, I did some things that needed to be done. I feel bad. I don’t know if I should or not. Finally a weekend that was neither slow nor boring, neither weird nor fucked up (sorry baby if you’re reading this…but you have to agree…its a tad creepy and fucked up, don’t you think?). It was normal. And not in a bad way. Shanty and I met up for lunch and beer at Brotzeit. It has some amazing sausages and sauerkraut! Shanty was right about the place, its cozy and serves really good beer. Our short breaks where we smoked in the middle of the sidewalk with beer glasses in our hands was good fun (Yeah…I fuckin caved in. Quitting cold turkey didn’t pan out as I had expected....
