First Official Post on Ranajay.net

For a really long time now, I’ve wanted to own my own website. And by long…I mean really really long!

I think my roommate Parichay will remember how we designed our first webpage back in the 90’s, when ICQ was all the rage and there used to be a website called www.www.com!

Our website was called Velocity I think and it had a photo of an F-22 Raptor on it.

That’s about it actually! Just a black background and a photo of an F22. The photo we had used was of course a lot cooler, since the jet was firing missiles and shit! And the website was black with green text (this was long before Matrix baby).

Yeah…those were the days.

Anyway, a few weeks back, I decided that it was about time I followed up on that childhood dream. Hence… ranajay.net was bought, wordpressed and themed!

AND I migrated all my old blog posts from http://psychedelicsoul.blogspot.com too! So, for the time being, ranajay.net is gonna serve as my new blog. Do show some support by following me using the Google Friend Connect gadget you see there on the right.

Over time, I’m also gonna add an arts section to this site to showcase some of the my artwork and design. Hopefully it’ll serve as a portfolio for me to get some part time assignments that can keep me busy during weekends .

P.S: A special mention needs to be made about Niki Torres and her blog Nikipaniki ! After following (the correct term however is stalking) her amazing self hosted Wordpress blog for the past few weeks, I was inspired to get my own web space! She also mentioned that she wanted to start her own business in Singapore, which gave me the urge to do something productive with my time as well!
