The Year of Sowing Wild Oats

Consider this to be something of a mid-year review. As I had oh so prophetically predicted at the end of 2008, 2009 has indeed been a year of new beginnings.

In the midst of an ever so turbulent economic crisis, I decided to fuck it all and “do the things I’ve always wanted to do! <Insert WOOHOO sound here>”.

I realize that there were a lot of things holding me back before 2009, money being a major reason and also a clingy and unhealthy relationship with my ex. All of that shit ended with 2008. And I’m glad it did.

I’ve been eyeing the iPhone ever since it first came out. And I’m gonna get a brand new shiny one as soon as my contract ends in September.

My first trip to Japan

This one’s a really big one. In fact in this entire list, its only one I really care about from the bottom of my heart. Ever since that first Yoko Kanno song 5 years back, Japan has become a part of my life and a part of who I am. Ask any of my friends and you’ll know how big a Japanophile I am.

But its hard being a Japanophile when you have no money. Luckily, Invensys solved that problem for me! I just hope I don’t start crying with joy the moment I set foot on Japanese soil, although that’s very likely to happen.
