A More Half-Hearted and Superficial Status Quo
‘More’ because the previous Status Quo is posted under Private. January summary- I went to Rawa islands for NYE with LEAP mates. Was fun. We were alone on the island. Got to snorkel for the first time in my life and it was exhilarating. I felt like a kid who had just learnt how to ride the bike and felt like showing off. Only problem was, I can’t swim even if my life depended on it. So I looked like a fish out of water. Wait…does that metaphor apply if I’m literally in the water?  Looking back at 2009 : Part IV (New Resolutions)
2009 was all about doing the things I’ve always wanted to do/going to places I’ve always wanted to go to/buying the things I’ve always wanted but didn’t have enough money to . I think 2010 should be more about self-improvement. So I’ll start off with a few simple pseudo-resolutions and add on more during the course of the year. Lose weight and get into shape (i.e. No belly, minimal flabs).Ideal weight would be 64-68 kilos. Learn how to cook (simple dishes, preferably meat). Learn how to be ambidextrous (not sure how it’ll help. Just a small experiment for...

Time to do a review of the pseudo-resolutions from 2009… 1. Stop merely saying the words, “Time for new beginnings” and actually do something to make that happen! Done! Intrinsic motivation 2. Drink less. Its a waste of money. Kind of achieved 3. Start reaching office earlier than others. More often than not. Hence achieved 4. Start learning Japanese already! Or else my dreams of becoming a farmer in Japan will never come true! Didn’t happen in 2009 5. Use my Wacom tablet more frequently to make paintings. Did not happen 6. Start losing weight already and go back to looking...
