While I was in Nara, I remember the innkeeper asking me to place a pin on the map for where I was from.
I placed one pin on Singapore.
And one on Indore.
Later we went upstairs and smoked together.
I smoked Cabin Roasts.
She rolled her own cigarettes.
We talked about life.

Good times.

Yes…dun dun dun indeed.

This month has had its fair share of changes.

The first one being at work. I’m in a new department now and I’m parallelly working on a hybrid project for the company.

The second one being at home. Psychotic roommate has moved the fuck out (hallelujah!) and Shanty has moved in. I can safely assume that everyone is happy, including psycho choot.

The third one being online. Like a fucking idiot,I deleted my old blog. Anyway, after a lot of sweating,swearing,searching and editing, the new blog is up. Fortunately, my old posts are still intact. I’m mildly pissed at Bluehost for their misleading backup utility but at the same time I’m applauding Wordpress for their awesome blog export features.

With this new template, I hope people searching for Obokuri Eeumi can find it easily instead of reaching the homepage and getting confused.

My first proposal kick-off meeting today,ended on an abrupt and rather amusing note when the boss came in,asked a few questions,scolded the people from Indonesia who had dialed in and signaled me to cut the call! Haha,it all happened so fast that I didn’t know how to react for a few seconds (after which I said “buhbye” in a funny voice and cut the call). In my head I was laughing my ass off.

After that we stayed back until 9:30pm to do the pilot project. Luckily our big boss gave us the green light to order in and take a cab back home. The only relaxing part of the day was watching a part of LSD while eating McDelivery.

Anyway,tomorrow is gonna be a friggin busy day too *sigh*. Thank God for Sophie who’s also staying back so that I don’t go all ‘Office Space’ on the hardware.

This ofcourse means more work for me *sigh*.But on the bright side, I’ll be working with Sophie again so it should be fun. Just like the good old Saudi Kayan days. I kinda miss the Tampines office. The project lead,Wendy, seems to be a bit blur, but then which project is perfect ? I definitely foresee arguments and conflicts with her in the future, haha!

Anyway, if we pull this off, then there might be overseas roadshows for us in the future ! CHA CHING!!

*Update*: Ooh! And it seems that we’re going to a new department as well starting from 3rd May. Proposals!

Been a pretty busy week at work. I’ve been getting cases from Singapore,India,Japan,Thailand and China. All of them are pretty weird.

Went out for Japanese buffet with Patil. There’s a nice place near Somerset called Senki Japanese Restaurant. Food was pretty good. Service was a bit lousy. Well not lousy…but slow. The waitress was very nice and helped us order. Patil and I concluded that it’s not possible to go ballistic on Japanese food like we normally do on all other kinds of cuisine. Kinda strange because we DID go ballistic a few months back at Sakae Sushi. That was shameful, lol…considering the sheer number of plates the two of us had towered up that time.

Anyway, the salmon sashimi was very tasty and we ordered seconds. The rest was…so so.

After that,we went to play pool. Pool was fun. But even more fun was 9-ball ! We had a blast playing game after game. It’s the perfect game for kameenas (assholes) like us because the whole objective is to pot the 9 ball to win the game. So almost EVERY shot was aimed for the 9 ball, haha. Very ‘unprofessional’ indeed.

Quit smoking plan has gone down the pooper. For more reasons than one. Ahhh…who wants to live forever anyway.

Gonna sleep for 18 hours now.
